For Part II, see MS61.
The US Navy sees modeling and simulation as an emerging multidisciplinary endeavor exploiting methods and theory from computer and simulation sciences, cognitive and behavioral sciences, mathematics, and operations research to produce and make possible advances in the accuracy, usability, interoperability and cost-effectiveness of simulation technology. There are a variety of technically aggressive attempts to exploit M&S technology in supporting training, experimentation, acquisition programs, and force structure analyses. The speakers in this minisymposium will present four different profiles of high technology (and applied mathematics) in Modeling and Simulation used in the Navy today.
