Grid Generation Methods and Applications to Complex Modeling Problems (Part 1 of 2)

Numerical grid generation is an important aspect of developing numerical solutions to practical engineering problems involving the solution of large systems of differential equations posed in complex geometries. The speakers in this minisymposium will present recent developments in grid generation, including basic algorithms, applications to finite difference schemes, and implementations in modern computer architectures. (For part 2, see MS52.) Organizers: Jose E. Castillo San Diego State University, and Patrick Knupp Ecodynamics Research Associates, Albuquerque
