Qualitative Aspects of Conservation Laws
(This session will run until 5:45 PM).
The speakers in this minisymposium will present recent results on qualitative aspects of conservation laws. They will address large time behavior of solutions of viscous and inviscid scalar conservation laws for periodic and compactly supported initial data, compactness results obtained by the kinetic approach, the resolution of a 2-dimensional Riemann problem for a 2x2 hyperbolic model of polymer-flood, and multidimensional partially aligned systems and shock formation.
