The Holiday Inn is a full-service hotel located near the Palo Alto shopping center, downtown shops, and Stanford campus. SIAM Committee meetings are scheduled to be held in this hotel; however, this may be subject to change. The reservation deadline is June 11, 1997. A deposit equivalent to one night's room rate is required.
Although rooms have not been blocked, the SIAM Headquarters does have a list of other hotels in the immediate area. Contact the Conference Department at [email protected] for the list. Supply your fax number so that the list can be sent to you.
Stanford University Housing is the most convenient place to stay for the meeting itself. Our group will be housed in The Governor's Corner Complex, a student residence with simply furnished rooms and single beds.
There are no private bathrooms.
Family groups can be accommodated in small suites. These are non-smoking facilities.
Stanford University Governor's Corner Complex (on campus)
The Complex consists of three types of housing: residential halls, free standing houses, and suites. Smoking is not permitted in any of the residences. Each hall and house has a lounge, two bathrooms on each floor, and rooms with single beds. Suites consist of 4-8 single occupancy rooms that share a common living area and bathroom. Families will be assigned to suites. Whenever possible, most halls and houses will be assigned to one gender so that all bathrooms will be available to residents. Couples will be assigned to the same floors so that one bathroom can be allocated to each gender. It is a pleasant 10-minute walk from Governor's Corner to the meeting sessions. A "C" parking lot @ $2.00 per day for residents is adjacent to the complex.

To register for a dormitory package, please complete the Dormitory Reservation Form and return it to SIAM. A PostScript Dormitory Reservation Form is available that can be downloaded, printed out, and faxed or mailed directly to SIAM.
The reservation deadline is June 30, 1997.
The cancellation deadline is June 5, 1997.
Dormitory Check-in:
The office is open until 10:00 PM. If your arriving after 10:00 PM, a night assistant is available that can check you in. If you are arriving after midnight, please call 415-723-1521 to let them know you are coming. If you have any questions, please call 415-723-3126 and a conference coordinator at Stanford will assist you.
