Advances in Optimal Flow Control (Part I of III)

In recent years, considerable attention has been given to the modeling, analysis, and computation of optimal feedback control synthesis for fluid flows. These developments have the potential to impact a number of domestic and defense industries. This symposium will feature recent advances in mathematical and computational methods in flow control. The speakers will present the recent development of the theory and computational techniques of optimization, feedback control, H-infinity, and stochastic control to complex technological problems and real-time control systems. The topics of the session include control problems arising from viscous laminar flows to turbulent flows, shape optimization, stabilization, MHD control, numerical simulation and numerical optimization. The speaker list include scientists from academia, laboratory and industry.
