SIAM has a 'free parking lot' in the Eucalyptus Grove that is located across from the Stanford Stadium. You can access the Grove from Galvez Street. You can park there all day and walk 10 minutes to the meeting areas. Identification is not needed, just say you are with the SIAM Conference. Refer to http://www.stanford.edu/home/visitors/maps.html.

Marguerite Shuttle is Stanford's free transit system. It runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Buses run about every 15 minutes. The B line runs from the SIAM parking lot by the stadium along Campus Drive, past the Law School, and then up to Tresidder. You can get on and off when and where you wish all day, every day (Monday through Friday).

    General Parking Information

Stanford has many parking lots throughout the campus. The lots are designated "A" or "C". You must have a permit to park in the lots. Daily parking permits cost $2.00 for a "C" lot. "A" lots are reserved for faculty and staff. It is not recommended that you try to purchase an "A" lot permit. The permit costs $6.00 a day and space is very limited. You can purchase your parking permit from the Office of Transportation, 855 Serra Street, 1st floor, Stanford, CA 94305, 415 723-9362. Contact them about specific details. Please bear in mind that a Stanford parking permit does not guarantee that you will be able to find a space in the most convenient parking lot.

    Parking Meters

There are numerous parking meters located all over campus. The cost is $1.00/hour and the meters only take quarters. These meters are carefully monitored and parking tickets are issued for any meter violations.

    WALKING
The best way to get around Stanford's campus is to walk. Bring good walking shoes and enjoy the campus as you go from building to building to attend the excellent technical and poster sessions.

    BICYCLE RENTALS
Stanford Campus and the Palo Alto area lends itself to bicycle riding. Attendees may rent bikes on a daily or weekly arrangement. Please note that bicycle rentals are in great demand in July, so early reservations are imperative.
