In this continuation of session I, the speakers emphasize theory and modeling for fluid mixing. The detailed microstructure of mixing is often too complex for comprehension, and for effective simulation. For this reason, averaged or modeled equations are needed to describe the effective or macro-scale flow properties. Analytic solutions are also crucial as
a basis for validation of simulations and because of the insight which can be derived from them.
