SIAM is holding a block of rooms at Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at $105.00 single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to 14% room tax. These rooms will be held for our exclusive use until Monday, January 5, 1998 only. Reservations made after January 5 will depend on availability.
We urge you to make your reservations immediately. Please fax or mail the Hotel Reservation Form directly to the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel. You may also make your reservation by phone. Please be certain to identify yourself as an attendee of the Ninth Annual ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (SODA) to receive the discounted rate.
A Hotel Room-Sharing List is available for those who wish to share a room with another attendee at the conference to cut down on expenses.
At the corner of Van Ness and California Street, the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway is easily within reach for all your needs. Step outside the door and catch the California Street cable car... you're just a short ride from Union Square shopping, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, and many other area attractions.
The Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel requires a deposit equivalent to one night's room rate to guarantee your reservation. The hotel accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Diner's Club, or check as a form of payment.
Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 Noon.
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel by 4:00 PM Pacific time, 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund of your one night's deposit.
Visit Cafe Marlette for a variety of American breakfast or dinner favorites. For lunch or cocktails, there's no better place to sit back and relax than Club Interlude. For this year's meeting, attendees will be served Continental Breakfast in the Convention Foyer at 8:00 AM on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; however, attendees are on their own for lunch and dinner. There are a variety of unique restaurants and distinctive shops just outside the hotel along Van Ness Avenue, the widest street in San Francisco.
The hotel has a fully equipped fitness center, and a heated outdoor swimming pool. In-room conveniences include remote control telvision with cable channels and up-to-date movies, in-room touch tone telephone with voice mail and dataport, alarm clock radios, and individual climate controls.
Parking is available in the hotel garage at a cost of $15.00 for 24 hours, with unlimited in and out privileges. This pertains to hotel guests only.
SIAM cannot offer e-mail access for individual attendees. We suggest you bring your own laptop computer and use the dataport in your room
Holiday Inn Golden Gateway is twelve miles from the San Francisco International Airport. San Francisco is blessed with a temperate marine climate and enjoys mild weather year-round. Temperatures seldom rise above 70 o F, or fall below 40 o F. An all-weather coat should suffice.
