Anthurium & Ginger (Salon 1 & 2)
Reaction-diffusion equations and systems have been used to model population growth under human harvesting, examples include the diffusive logistic model with harvesting term, predator-prey models and other reaction-diffusion systems with semipositone structure. The existence and stability of steady state solutions of such systems are essential when controlling the harvesting level in order to avoid the extinction of natural resource. The speakers will discuss bifurcations of steady state solutions with harvesting level as parameter.
