Optimal Design of Structures and Microstructures - Part I of II
10:00-12:00 PM
Room: Declaration
For Part II, see MS37.
The relevance of optimal design methods to problems arising in aerospace applications, ground based transportation, and infrastructure is well-known within the engineering and scientific communities. The difficulties associated with such problems constantly stir new ideas and developments providing new computational and analytical tools to tackle increasingly more difficult problems of technological interest. The speakers in this minisymposium will describe recent advances in three main areas: optimal design, structural optimization and shape optimization.
