Gina L. Grimes

Biography

Gina Grimes has nearly 20 years of experience working in human resources. Currently a human resources consultant for the Cooper Health System in Camden, NJ, Grimes is responsible for recruiting and conducting initial interviews with potential candidates in order to maintain a staff to support a 550 bed medical facility. Grimes has worked in all areas of human resources including recruitment and staffing, employee training and development, leadership consultation and employee relations.

After working as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 10 years, Ms. Grimes entered the human resources field as a branch manager for a small independent consulting firm. She later joined the Graduate Health System in Philadelphia where she was responsible for planning and implementing the overall recruitment program for the healthcare system. In 1997, Grimes took a break from healthcare and became the human resources manager for Rosenbluth International, a corporate travel corporation. There she provided leadership, management, consultative and recruitment support for 17 clients with approximately 300 employees located in eight states. Among her extensive work at Rosenbluth, Grimes designed and conducted career development workshops including training seminars on sexual harassment, behavioral interviewing and interviewing skills for success.

Ms. Grimes, who is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, is a national member of the Society for Human Resource Management, as well as a member of the SHRM Philadelphia and Tri-State Regional chapters. She is also a member of the Employment Management Association and the Philadelphia Area Association of Healthcare Recruiters. Previously, Grimes has served on the advisory boards of Nurse Extra and Nursing Spectrum magazines, for which she was a frequent contributor of articles.
