This directory contains supplementary material that does not obviously fit into a specific chapter directory.

Currently there is one file

Makefile.inc -- this is the makefile include file that contains user/site dependent information about how to compile and link the various components together to form an executable file.
This file needs to be tailored to a specific platform/compiler combination and to user/site taste/rules. There are hopefully enough comments within the file to make these changes relatively easily. It is worth spending some time on this as it really is a "do-once" "use-many" operation and will save much time and effort in the future.
