Stabilizing Time-varying State and Output Feedback

The speaker will discuss recent results on the stabilization problem which show the interest of time-varying feedback. In particular he will show 1-Global stabilizability by means of time-varying feedback for globally controllable systems without drift, 2-Local stabilizability by means of time-varying state (resp. dynamic output) feedback for many systems which are locally controllable (resp. and locally observable). The speaker will present applications of the method used for the stabilizability of driftless systems to the controllability of incompressible fluids.
