Multidimensional Systems of Conservation Laws
Analysis of multidimensional conservation laws has lagged behind that of one-dimensional or semilinear hyperbolic problems. Meanwhile, driven by applications, computations on the same systems have forged ahead. This minisymposium will focus on advances from several different directions. By comparing these approaches, researchers may learn from each other at an early stage. The speakers will discuss systems with degenerate structure, compressible Navier-Stokes equations with nonsmooth data, self-similar systems, and the design of numerical schemes.
