This informal session will provide an overview of the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) of the National Science Foundation. The CISE Directorate provides the majority of NSF's support for computer science research; it also has significant programs in computational science and education technologies, and supports facilities such as the Supercomputer Centers and NSFNET.
After a brief description of the Directorate and its programs, the audience will be invited to raise questions regarding funding opportunities.
