SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center Hotel. These rooms are being held on a first come, first served basis at $85.00 single or $95.00 double room. These rooms will be held for our exclusive use only until Monday, July 1, 1996. Reservations made after July 1, will depend on availability.
We urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible. A postscript version of the hotel reservation form is available that can be dowloaded, printed out, and faxed or mailed directly to the hotel. You may also make your hotel reservation by calling the Hyatt. When making your reservation via phone, please be certain to identify yourself as an attendee at the 1996 SIAM Annual Meeting to receive the discounted rate.
A Hotel Room-Sharing Database of attendees is available for those who may wish to share a room with another attendee at the conference to cut down on expenses.
Location:
The Hyatt Hotel is located in the downtown business area.
Deposit:
The Hyatt requires a deposit equivalent to one night's room rate to guarantee your reservation. The hotel accepts AMEX, MC, Visa, Diner's Club or check as a form of payment.
Arrivals and Departures:
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 Noon.
Cancellations:
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel by 4:00 PM Central Standard Time 48 hours prior to your stated date of arrival to avoid any unnecessary charges.
Dining:
Hyatt has three restaurants for dining. The Peppercorn Duck Club is a fine dining restaurant, specializing in game and rotisserie duckling. It is open for lunch and dinner. The Skies Restaurant is on a revolving rooftop with a spectacular view of the city. Skies specializes in steak and seafood. The Terrace Restaurant is the hotel's casual restaurant. It has sandwiches and a salad bar, as well as elaborate entrees in the evening. The Expresso Cart is located on the Mezzanine or 2nd Level of the hotel next to the Terrace. The Cart offers an assortment of breakfast breads and coffees Monday through Friday 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM.
Recreational Facilities:
The hotel has a fully equipped Health Club located on the 4th floor on the south side of the hotel. It can be reached by taking the glass elevator up to Level H. You will need your guest room key for access. The club is complimentary to hotel guests. The facilities include: outdoor tennis courts, all weather pool, Lifecycles, Life Rower, Stairmaster, treadmill, universal weight machine, free weights, and hot tub.
Parking:
The hotel is connected to North Parking Garage of Crown Center. The cost for self-parking is $8.75 per day for hotel guests. Attendees commuting to attend the conference can expect to pay between $8.75 - $13.75 per day.
