SIAM has selected USAir as the official carrier for this conference. Discounts are available to conference attendees from July 15-29, 1996.

By flying USAir you become eligible for the following discounts:

SIAM has selected Get-A-Way Travel agency to assist attendees in making travel arrangements. Get-A-Way Travel will make your reservations on USAir or any airline of your choice. To take advantage of the USAir discounts, you must book your reservation through Get-A-Way Travel by calling 800-223-3863 or 215-379-6800. Ask for Carol Brecht. Be sure to mention that you are attending the 1996 SIAM Annual Meeting. Get-A-Way Travel will issue your tickets and mail them to you.

Airport Transportation

KCI Airport Express (816)243-5000
KCI Airport Express provides airport shuttle service to guests of the Hyatt Hotel. The shuttle may be picked-up curbside at KCI Airport. Shuttles depart at 25 and 55 minutes past each hour from 5:55 AM until 11:55 PM. One way tickets are $10.00 and round-trip tickets are $19.00. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at each terminal from a mobile ticket cart, or by paying the driver. If you do not see the ticket cart, dial 5000 on the white courtesy phone for pick-up information.

Return shuttles may be picked-up from the Hyatt front drive at 7 and 37 minutes past each hour, from 5:07 AM until 6:37 PM. Evening service is available by reservation from 7:07 PM until 10:37 PM. The trip to the airport takes 35 - 40 minutes by shuttle. Prices for return trips are the same as from KCI.

Taxi Cab service to and from KCI Airport is regulated by maximum zone fares. Between the Hyatt and KCI the regulated maximum fare is $29.00. At the airport, taxis can be found curbside at each terminal. The hotel has an exclusive arrangement with Yellow Cab for return trips to the airport. The doorman can assist individuals with taxis at the front drive. Yellow Cab charges a flat rate of $24.00 from the hotel to KCI.

Majestic Limousine Sign up at the hotel bellstand for actual limousine transportation to KCI Airport only. This service departs every hour, at 30 minutes past the hour, from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, by reservation only. The cost is $12.00 per person, if the limo is shared with other passengers, or $20.00 per person if unshared. The maximum number of passengers is six per trip.

Driving Directions to the Hyatt Hotel:

From KCI Airport: Take I-29 South to the 169 South Kansas City Exit. Follow 169 South over the river, continue straight on Broadway. Left on 20th Street. Right on McGee to hotel entrance. From I-70 East Bound: Take I-35 South exit to 20th Street Exit. Left on 20th Street. Right on McGee Street to hotel entrance.

From I-70 West Bound: Take I-35 South exit to 20th Street exit. Left on 20th Street. Right on McGee Street to hotel entrance

From I-35 South Bound: Take I-35 South to 20th Street Exit. Left on 20th Street. Right on McGee Street to hotel entrance.

From I-35 North Bound: Take I-35 North to Broadway (2U) exit. Turn right on Broadway. Left on 20th Street. Right on McGee Street to hotel entrance.

From 71 North Bound: Take I-435 North exit to I-70 West exit. Take the I-35 South exit to 20th Street exit. Left on 20th Street. Right on McGee Street to hotel entrance.
