The Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel is within walking distance
of Vanderbilt University, Centennial Park and many of Nashville's
cultural and educational resources. The downtown business
district, the State Capitol, Music Row, Opryland, the Grand Ole
Opry and the Nashville International Airport are a short drive or
cab ride from the hotel.
SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Loews Vanderbilt Plaza
Hotel.

Reservation Deadline Date:
We urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible as the
hotel has other conferences before and after the SIAM Conference,
which may make getting reservations at the last minute, or
reservations for extended stays difficult.
Deposit:
A deposit in the amount of one night's stay is required
to hold each reservation. Reservations are not guaranteed
without a deposit.
Reservations:
When making reservations, you must mention that
you are attending the SIAM Conference on Geometric Design to
receive the discounted rates. Reservations can be made by one of the following ways:

Cancellations:
To obtain a full refund, reservations made by
attendees must be cancelled before 4:00 PM, 48 hours prior to
scheduled arrival.
Arrivals and Departures:
Check-In time is 3:00 PM and Check-Out
is 12:00 Noon.
Dining:
Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel has two restaurants:
- Plaza Grill - light, simple fare, serving 3 meals daily
- Sfuzzi - fine Italian dining in a stylish setting, serving lunch and dinner
and a Garden Lounge - light snacks and beverages
For the more adventurous, there are an array of restaurants
within walking distance of the hotel and around the University.
Parking:
Parking at the Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel is
currently $6.00 for self-parking and $8.00 for valet parking.
The parking lot is connected to the hotel.
Recreation:
The hotel is equipped with a small fitness center.
For those interested in swimming, a vigorous workout or aerobics,
the Baptist Hospital Health and Fitness Center and the Centennial
Sportsplex is only 4 - 6 blocks from the hotel. The price is
$6.00 - $10.00 for use.
Music Row is where the Country Music Hall of Fame, recording
studios, shops and museums are. It is only 6 blocks from the
hotel. Centennial Park, which is the location of the only
replica of the Parthenon from Athens, Greece, is only 4 blocks
from the hotel. The Centennial Sportsplex has facilities for
basketball, tennis and ice skating.
