SIAM has selected Travel Leaders to assist attendees in making travel arrangements. To book your reservations through Travel Leaders, contact Amy Hueber at 215-643-6585 or 1 (800) 698-2424. Be sure to mention you are attending the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering. Travel Leaders will issue your ticket and mail it to you. Travel Leaders' office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM- 5:30 PM Eastern Time. Please be aware there is a fee for this service.

You also have the choice of using your own travel agent or an internet service. There are many web sites available to allow you to search for and purchase airline tickets online. Expedia (www.expedia.com), Orbitz (www.orbitz.com), and Travelocity (www.travelocity.com) are just a few.

Ground Transportation

Amtrak has a rail station in San Diego. To make train reservations through Amtrak, call 1-800-USA-RAIL, go to www.amtrak.com , or contact Travel Leaders. Taxis are available at the train station for transportation to the hotel. Please visit www.sdcommute.com for more information on San Diego's transit system.

Rental Cars

Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport or you can make them through Travel Leaders or your own travel agent. Travel Leaders can make your car rental reservations at the same time you make your flight reservations. See information above regarding how to reach Travel Leaders.

Driving Directions

If renting a car, please obtain a map and directions from your rental car company. Another option is to visit Mapquest (www.mapquest.com) , or another similar web site. SIAM highly recommends you contact the hotel directly at 619-224-1234 for driving directions. However, a suggested driving route follows:

From San Diego International Airport

Take 5N to 8W. Exit West Mission Bay Drive. Turn right. Stay on West Mission Bay Drive through the loop. Turn left at light to Quivira Road. Hotel is on right.
