Sponsored by SIAM Activity Group on Control and Systems Theory
Held jointly with the 2001 SIAM Annual Meeting
July 9-13, 2001, Town & Country Hotel, San Diego, California, USA |
In today's technological world, the field of control theory is central to the interplay among mathematics, engineering and computer science. Advances in manufacturing, transportation, and medicine often rely on accurate process and machine control. This conference, which is held jointly with the SIAM 2001 Annual Meeting, will showcase a wide range of new results in control and systems theory and computational science. It will highlight several applications including shape optimization, mechanical and thermo-elastic systems, smart materials, quantum control, risk-sensitive control, biological systems, systems with microstructure, and control of the internet.
