Inverse Problems for a Perturbed Half-Space

1:30 PM-2:15 PM
Chair: John Berger, Colorado School of Mines
Room 246

The speaker will discuss inverse problems for acoustic scattering in the half-space geometry. The upper half- space is assumed known and is accessible for making measurements. Various measurement configurations will be discussed. The medium in the lower half-space is assumed known outside a bounded region. The speaker will present results that include the uniqueness issue as well as approaches to the reconstruction problem.
