Applications of Optimization
(Invited Minisymposium)
Sponsored by SIAM Activity Group on Optimization
This minisymposium will focus on applications of optimization
to hard problems in science and industry. The speakers will discuss genetic
algorithms, simulated annhealing, neural networks, implicit filtering,
stochastic/perturbation methods, and their applications to chemistry, finance,
structural optimization, and stock car racing.
