SIAM has selected American Airlines as the official carrier for this meeting. Discounts are available to meeting attendees from November 2 - 12, 1995.

By flying American Airlines you become eligible for the following discounts:

5% off of the Supersaver Fares (at least 7 days advance purchase with a Saturday night stayover)
10% off of Standard Coach Fares (7 day advance purchase with no Saturday night stayover)

SIAM has selected Get-A-Way Travel agency to assist attendees in making travel arrangements. Get-A-Way Travel will make your reservations on American or any airline of your choice. To take advantage of the American discounts, you must book your reservation through Get-A-Way Travel by calling 800-223-3863 or 215-379-6800. Ask for Carol Brecht. Be sure to mention that you are attending the SIAM Conference on Geometric Design. Get-A-Way Travel will issue your tickets and mail them to you. Those wishing to make reservations directly with American Airlines in Nashville call 800-492-9085. American Airlines will make your reservations and mail the tickets to you.

Car Rental

Budget Rent A Car has been selected as the official car rental agency for this meeting. The following rates are available to attendees between October 30-November 13, 1995. Budget is located at the Airport's in-terminal. All rentals include unlimited mileage:

Reservations

We encourage you to make advance reservations, as on-site availability cannot be guaranteed. Make your reservations by calling Get-A-Way-Travel at 215-223-3863 or 215-379-6800 and ask for Carol Brecht or call Budget directly at 800-772-3773. Make sure to mention you are attending the SIAM Geometric Design Conference, November 6 - 9, 1995, Nashville, Tennessee and the rate code VNR1/SIAM5 in order to receive the discounted rates.

Cars must be picked up and returned to the same location.
You must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid U.S. or International Drivers License.
You must have one of the following credit cards to rent a car: American Express, MasterCard, or VISA.
Refueling charges, collision insurance, and taxes are not included in the above rates.

On occasion, the car rental agency may offer special rates that are lower than the rates quoted above. As an attendee, you are eligible for the lower of the two rates. In most instances, the meeting discount rates are lower than those quoted to the general public.

Airport Shuttle Service

The Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel does not provide complimentary transportation to and from the airport. Airport shuttle service is provided by Gray Line Tours which leaves the airport (ground transportation level at foot of escalators) approximately every 15 minutes. The shuttle leaves the hotel approximately every 1/2 hour, beginning at 6:15 a.m. until 11:15 p.m. Shuttle service is available on call after 11:15 p.m. The cost of the service is $8.00 one way and $14.00 round trip.

Taxi Service

To or from the airport, one-way taxi service is approximately $17.00 - $18.00.

Driving Directions to the Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel

From the Airport (East on I-40)

Follow I-40 West to the Broadway Exit. Take the Broadway Exit and make a left turn onto Broadway. Stay right on Broadway until you reach the fork in the road. Veer right at the fork onto West End Avenue. Follow West End Avenue going West until you reach the Hotel which will be on your right just past 21st Avenue.

From the West on I-40:

Follow I-40 East until you reach the Broadway Exit. Take the Broadway Exit and make a right turn onto Broadway. Stay right on Broadway until you come to the fork in the road. Veer right at the fork onto West End Avenue and follow West End Avenue until you reach the Hotel which will be on your right just past 21st Avenue.

From the South on I-24 or I-65:

Follow I-24 West or I-65 North until you come to I-40. Follow I- 40 West until you come to the Broadway Exit. Take the Broadway Exit and make a left turn onto Broadway. Stay right on Broadway until you reach the fork onto West End Avenue and follow West End Avenue until you reach the Hotel which will be on your right just past 21st Avenue.

From the North on I-24 or I-65:

Follow I-24 or I-65 South until you reach I-265-Memphis; follow I-265 toward Memphis until you reach I-40; then follow I-40 East- Nashville to the Broadway Exit. Take the Broadway Exit and turn right onto Broadway at the traffic light. Stay right on Broadway until you come to a fork in the road. Veer right at the fork onto West End Avenue and follow West End Avenue until you reach the Hotel which will be on your right just past 21st Avenue.
