Salon A
This minisymposium will address topics in control of fluid dynamics including the modeling of control problems, the existence of optimal controls and necessary conditions for optimality, and several computational approaches to such control problems. The speakers will discuss computational techniques, global projection (projection of discrete finite element gradients onto a global, continuous finite element space), seqential quadratic programming techniques, and a reduced basis approach for developing lower order feedback controls.
