SIAM is holding a block of rooms at Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel. These rooms are being held on a first come, first served basis at $110.00 single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to 14% room tax = $15.40. Total cost of room - $125.40. These rooms will be held for our exclusive use until Wednesday, December 15, 1999 only. Reservations made after December 15th will depend on availability.
We urge you to make your reservations immediately. Please fax or mail the Hotel Reservation Form directly to the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel. You may also make your reservation by phone. Please be certain to identify yourself as an attendee of SODA 2000 to receive the discounted rate.
A Hotel Room-Sharing List is available for those who wish to share a room with another attendee at the conference to cut down on expenses.

From the East Bay and Sacramento Area
Take Interstate 80 over the Bay Bridge. Take the Fremont Street exit. Continue on Fremont Street, whereupon you will cross Market Street. Turn left on Pine Street. Follow Pine Street for approximately 15 blocks to Van Ness Avenue, and turn right on Van Ness Avenue. The hotel will be on your right.
From San Francisco International Airport and points South
Take US 101 North to San Francisco. At the I-80/101 split, continue on US 101 North, to the Mission/Fell Street exit. Take the Mission Street/101 North Exit. Turn right at the exit and proceed for 1 block to the first light (Van Ness Avenue.) Proceed to the left onto Van Ness Avenue. (Van Ness Avenue is US 101 through San Francisco.) Stay on Van Ness Avenue all the way up to Pine Street. The hotel is on the corner of Pine Street and Van Ness Avenue.
From Marin County and Points North
Take US 101 South over the Golden Gate Bridge. Take Lombard Street/Downtown exit and continue on Lombard Street. Stay on Lombard Street, cross Van Ness Avenue and turn right on Polk Street. Proceed for about 8 blocks on Polk Street. Turn right on Pine Street and proceed for 1 block. Turn right on Van Ness Avenue and the hotel will be on your right.
The Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel requires a deposit equivalent to one night's room rate to guarantee your reservation. The hotel accepts AMEX, MC, Visa, Diner's Club, or check as a form of payment.
Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 Noon.
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel by 4:00 PM Pacific Time, 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund of your one night's deposit.
Visit Cafe Marlette, for a variety of American breakfast or dinner favorites. For lunch or cocktails, there's no better place to sit back and relax than Club Interlude. For this year's meeting, attendees will be served Continental Breakfast at 8:00 AM on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday; however, attendees are on their own for lunch. There are a variety of unique restaurants and distinctive shops just outside the hotel along Van Ness Avenue, the widest street in San Francisco.
The hotel has a fully equipped fitness center, and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Hotel room conveniences include remote control television with cable channels and up-to-date movies, touch tone telephone vith voice mail and dataport, alarm clock radios and individual climate controls.
Parking is available in the hotel garage at a cost of $17.00 for 24 hours, with unlimited in and out privileges. This only pertains to hotel sleeping room guests. Prices are subject to change.

Holiday Inn Golden Gateway is twelve miles from the San Francisco International Airport. San Francisco is blessed with a temperate marine climate and enjoys mild weather year-round. Temperatures seldom rise above 70 degrees F or fall below 40 degrees F. An all-weather coat should suffice.
