SIAM has selected USAir as the official carrier for this conference. Discounts are available to conference attendees from June 14 - 23, 1996. Discounts are available into Baltimore, Maryland (BWI).

By flying USAir you become eligible for the following discounts:

SIAM has selected Get-A-Way Travel agency to assist attendees in making travel arrangements. Get-A-Way Travel will make your reservations on USAir or any airline of your choice. To take advantage of the USAir discounts, you must book your reservation through Get-A-Way Travel by calling 1-800-223-3863 or 215-379-6800. Ask for Carol Brecht. Be sure to mention that you are attending the SIAM Conference on Discrete Mathematics. Get-A-Way Travel will issue your tickets and mail them to you.

Shuttle Service to the University or Hotel:

Shuttle service from the Baltimore, National and Dulles Airports, and Amtrak and Penn-Station will be supplied by Baltimore Airport Shuttle. Reservations must be made by phone or fax prior to arrival or departure into Baltimore. Once you have made your flight arrangements, contact Airport Shuttle at 410-821-5387, 800-287-4227 or Fax 410-821-5389. Reservations can be made daily until 10:00 PM. One way fare from the airport to the hotel or university ranges about $19.00.

Airport Pickup:

Exit at the baggage claim area. Walk to the Outer Road (2nd curb) underneath the sign of your airline. Look for a van featuring the shuttle logo-Baltimore Airport Shuttle in bright yellow letters. If your flight is delayed, the shuttle service will check your flight and arrange for a van to meet you 15-20 minutes after your actual arrival. Airport Shuttle accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and cash as forms of payment.

Cabs from the Baltimore Airport:

The average fare for a cab from the airport to the university or hotel is approximately $20-$25 one way.

By Car from the North to the University: (New Jersey, New York)

Proceed South on I-95 to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695). Take the Beltway West (toward Towson) to Exit 25 (Charles Street). Turn left at stop sign, and left onto Charles Street. Follow Charles Street South for eight miles to University Parkway. JHU is on your right. Turn left onto University Parkway, turn right onto St. Paul Street and Right onto 33rd Street. At the light, make a right onto Charles Street, make your first right onto 34th Street (the sign also says Greenway). Wolman and McCoy Halls are on your right and left, respectively. Park in the area identified for limited parking, and enter either building at the 34th Street entrance.

From U.S. Route 40 East or West:

Drive to Charles Street, turn left follow Charles Street North to 34th Street. Turn right on 34th Street. Wolman and McCoy Halls are on your right and left, respectively. Park in the area identified for limited parking, and enter either building at the 34th Street entrance.

From the West and North (Pennsylvania and Ohio):

Take I-83 (from the North) or I-70 (from the West) to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695). Exit East, toward Towson. Take Exit 25 (Charles Street); keep right. Proceed South on Charles Street, Wolman and McCoy Halls are on your right and left, respectively. Park in the area identified for limited parking, and enter either building at the 34th Street entrance.

From the South:

Drive North on I-95. DO NOT take the Harbor Tunnel or Beltway exits. Follow the signs to downtown Baltimore (the signs will say "Inner Harbor-Use 395 North" and "395 North, Right Lanes"). The city skyline will be to the left. Take the exits marked "395 North Downtown" and "395 Downtown/Inner Harbor." Turn right at Conway Street (first traffic light). Proceed two blocks to Charles Street; turn left. Follow Charles Street North approximately eight miles to 34th Street; turn right on 34th Street. Wolman and McCoy Halls are on your right and left, respectively. Park in the area identified for limited parking, and enter either building at the 34th Street entrance.
