SIAM is holding a block of rooms at Holiday Inn Select Hotel, These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at $109.00 single and $119.00 double. These rooms will be held for our exclusive use until April 20, 1997 only. Reservations made after April 20 will depend on availability.
We urge you to make your reservations immediately. You may do so by calling Holiday Inn Select, faxing your reservation or mailing in the Hotel Reservation Form. The Hotel Reservation Form is available as a PostScript file that can be downloaded and printed out. When making your reservation by phone, please be certain to identify yourself as an attendee of the May 1997 SIAM Conference on Mathematical Aspects of Materials Science to receive the discounted rate.

Holiday Inn Select is located in the central business district near Liberty Place where a variety of shops abound. It is an easy walk to the Philadelphia Visitors Bureau Rotunda (16th & J.F. Kennedy Blvd.) for information highlighting the many historical sites within the city and surrounding countryside.
Holiday Inn Select requires a deposit equivalent to one night's room rate to guarantee your reservation. The hotel accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, or check as a form of payment. The hotel will send out written confirmations.
Check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 noon.
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel by 3:00 p.m. EST-eastern standard time, 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund of your one night's deposit.
Holiday Inn Select has one restaurant the Elephant & Castle, a charming British pub offering a variety of authentic and traditional fare. The espresso bar, E & C Express serves specialty coffee and light fare, ideal for a quick breakfast. The hotel is surrounded with many fine restaurants. One can obtain a listing of over 100 area restaurants from the bell captain.
The hotel has a fully equipped fitness center located on the 8th floor.
Valet parting is available in the hotel garage at a cost of $17.00 for 24 hours, with unlimited in and out privileges. Attendees not staying in the hotel can park at a cost of $17.00 for 3-12 hours. The garage is located on Market Street between 17th & 18th Streets.
Each sleeping room has Modular phone jacks for in-room fax and personal computer connections. The hotel also has in-room voice mail. During the conference, SIAM cannot offer e-mail or Internet access capabilities for individual attendees. We suggest you bring your own laptop and use hotel facilities. If you do not have a personal computer, the hotel business office offers this service at a nominal fee.
