Be sure to mention that you are attending the November 1997 Sixth SIAM Conference on Applied Linear Algebra. Event Travel will issue your ticket and mail it to you.
Canyon Transportation Inc. is a shuttle service that transports passengers between the airport and Snowbird. YOU MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE. You can do this by calling Canyon direct at 1-800-255-1841, or by making your transportation reservations with Snowbird's Central Reservations office when making your lodging reservations. When making reservations be sure to include the date of arrival, the airline you are using, the flight number, and time of arrival. Canyon Transportation desk is located in the baggage claim area of the airport.
Remember to make reservations for your departure after the conference. You must confirm your reservation for departure from Snowbird to the airport, with Canyon Transportation Inc., 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure.
Rental Cars
Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport or you can make them through Event Travel Services or your own travel agent. Snowbird is located 29 miles (40 minutes) from Salt Lake City International Airport. Take Interstate 80 East to Interstate 215 South. Interstate 215 swings east toward the Wasatch Mountains. Exit at 6200 South Street, making a right turn at the light. Follow this road up to the hill to Wasatch Blvd. and on toward Little Cottonwood Canyon, following the signs to Snowbird and Alta.
From Downtown Salt Lake City
Snowbird is 25 miles (30 minutes) from downtown Salt Lake City. Take Interstate 15 South to Interstate 215 East and exit at 6200 South Street. Make a right turn at the light. Follow this road up to the hill to Wasatch Blvd. and on toward Little Cottonwood Canyon, following the signs to Snowbird and Alta.
