SIAM is holding a block of rooms at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort. These rooms are being held on a first-come first-served basis at the following discounted rates until April 25, 1997:

Dormitory rooms $ 23.00/person (4 in a room)
There is a 9.63% occupancy tax that will be added to your room rate.
These rooms will be held for our exclusive use until April 25, 1997 only. Reservations made after April 25 will
depend on availability and the above rates may not be in effect.
We urge you to make your reservations immediately. We expect a large turnout for this meeting and you do not want to miss getting a room in the SIAM block. You may do so by calling Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, faxing your reservation or mailing in the Hotel Reservation Form.
When making your reservation by phone, please be certain to identify yourself as an attendee of the May 1997 SIAM Conference on Applications of Dynamical Systems to receive the discounted rate.
DUE TO THE LIMITED NUMBER OF ROOMS AVAILABLE, YOU MUST BE A STUDENT IN ORDER TO RESERVE THESE ROOMS. Rooms are located in the Cliff Lodge and there are 5 rooms available with 4 people per room. These are non-smoking rooms. There is a private bathroom in each room. Common areas located at the end of the halls are equipped with televisions and pool tables. When registering for a room, please be sure to mention your gender. You will be asked to show your student I.D. before checking into rooms. Rooms are on a first-come first-served basis.
Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort requires a deposit equivalent to one
night's room rate (summer rules) to guarantee your reservation. The resort
accepts AMEX, MC, Visa, or check as a form of payment. The resort will
send out written confirmations.
To check in at Snowbird you should report to the Cliff Lodge.
The technical sessions will be held in the Cliff Lodge. Check in time
is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM.
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact
the hotel by 3:00 PM mountain time, 48 hours prior to your scheduled
arrival to receive a refund of your one night's deposit.
The Cliff Lodge is a full-service modern hotel with outdoor swimming
pool, hot tubs, and health spa. The lodge is equipped with saunas and at
least one all-season swimming pool. The Cliff Spa occupies the 9th and
10th floors of the Cliff Lodge and offers numerous services: massages,
aerobics, and weight room. Spa facilities are available to SIAM attendees
18 years of age and older. A children's pool is available on Level B.
A wide variety of shops and boutiques are available in the Snowbird
Center and the Cliff Lodge. There are three tennis courts at Snowbird.
For those who enjoy hiking, maps of the Snowbird area are available at
the Activities Center. Mountain bikes are available for rental.
There is complimentary valet parking available at the Cliff Lodge.
SIAM cannot offer e-mail access for individual attendees. We suggest you bring your own laptop computer and use hotel facilities. If you do not have your own personal laptop computer, the hotel business office offers this service at a nominal fee.
The Mexican Keyhole serves traditional Mexican entrees and drinks.
Elegant dining can be found in the Aerie, a glass enclosed rooftop
restaurant with views of the mountains on all sides. Snowbird Village is
the home of 8 additional restaurants and lounges.
As a new service to SIAM members, we are including the Web site address
for the city in which the meeting will be held. The URL is http://www.saltlake.org. This will allow you to learn about the city before you arrive.
