SIAM Washington-Baltimore Section

The Washington-Baltimore Section promotes the interests of applied mathematicians in academia, industry, and government in the metropolitan area of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. The Section regularly hosts evening events consisting of dinner followed by an expository lecture.

The organizers will not plan a group dinner for attendees. The organizers encourage attendees to organize smaller Dutch Treat dinner groups. If you are interested in organizing a dinner group, please identify the restaurant and the information (including your contact info) will be placed on the SIAM Washington-Baltimore Section web site.

We will update the attendee list on the SIAM Washington-Baltimore Section web site as we get such information. The list will be shared with the panel members on 21 May 2018.

Parking is available in the lower level of the building. The garage entrance (back of the building) is off Ninth Street. The garage is managed by Laz Parking (703-243-7281): current advertised charges: $1 – 1 Hour; $2 – 2 Hours; $6 – 3 Hours; $10 – All Day Maximum (Mon-Fri).

Additional public parking garages include: 950 N. Glebe Rd, 800 N. Glebe Rd, and 901 N. Glebe Rd.

The Virginia Tech Executive Briefing Center is about a five minute walk from the Ballston-MU Metro Station on the Orange and Silver lines. Exit the station and turn west on Fairfax Drive. Cross N. Glebe Road, then make an immediate left. The building is mid-block.
