The 1999 Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM)

Three teams of undergraduates will present their solutions of the 1999 MCM problems. The first presentation will be a solution to a continuous problem, and the second will be a solution to a discrete problem. The third presentation is distinguished by being a solution to a problem of an interdisciplinary nature. SIAM judges choose these teams from among the top four percent of solution papers submitted.
