Advances in Optimal Design and Optimal Control

4:00 PM-6:00 PM
Room: Atlanta 3

The speakers in this minisymposium will report on recent progress in applications of optimal design and control of differential equations. They will discuss existence of optimal designs, concepts of continuous dependence, stability, and numerical techniques for design characterization. They will also discuss applications to the optimal design of tubes, analysis of structural acoustics, identification of boundary shapes via a wave equation, and recycling preferences in waste management.

Organizers: K. Renee Fister and C. Maeve McCarthy
Murray State University
