Contributed Sessions: |
17 minutes for each presentation plus 3 minutes for
questions and answers. |

Invited Plenary Sessions (IP): |
55 minutes for each presentation plus 5 minutes
for questions and answers. |
Important Notice
The conference organizers expect every speaker of a
scheduled presentation to register and give the talk. Jointly
authored papers must be presented by one of the co-authors. A "no-show"
or canceled presentation can cause serious inconvenience to
attendees and the conference organizers.
What's New?
Tracks
The Program Chairs, Tandy Warnow and Bob Tarjan, have
organized the symposium schedule into tracks, with each track
occupying the same room throughout the meeting. This type of
organizing the schedule is a FIRST in this the Tenth SODA. There are
four tracks, organized as follows:

Track 1: Data Structures, Computational Geometry,
Strings, Trees, and Computational Biology
Liberty A Room
- Track 2: Discrete Mathematics and Graph Algorithms
Mencken Room
- Track 3: Systems, Applications, Parallel, and
Experimental Papers
Carroll Room
- Track 4: Combinatorial Optimization
Liberty B Room
"Rump
Session"
Another new feature for SODA is the "rump
session", which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January
19 at 11:00 AM in Liberty B room. Short (5-minute) talks may include
discussion of open problems, reports on research results, or other
short presentations. Requests for slots in the "rump
session" will be accepted from the time conference registration
opens at 7:30 AM on Sunday, January 17. Requests will be honored on a
first come, first served basis. See SIAM staff at the registration
desk in Liberty Foyer, Lobby level pre-function area.
The list of selected talks for the "rump
session" will be posted on the bulletin board on January 18 at
9:00 AM. |
