New Postdoc Positions at NSF Math Institutes
April 1, 2009
The directors of the NSF-sponsored institutes in the mathematical sciences (AIM, IAS, IMA, IPAM, MBI, MSRI, SAMSI) sent a notice soliciting applications for joint postdoctoral positions.
The institutes announced the creation of 30 new postdoctoral positions intended for recent recipients of a PhD in the mathematical sciences who have been unsuccessful in the current job market.
Applications must have a recent PhD (2004 or later) from a US university.
Each postdoc will be affiliated with one of the NSF-funded math institutes.
Most appointments will be for two years, with a starting date as early as August 2009.
Applications are due by April 10; it is anticipated that the first round of offers will be made by April 15, pending anticipated funding from the NSF.
