"Joining SIAM and one or more of its activity groups gives you discounts on publications, conferences, etc. But, much more importantly, it also helps you find a community of like-minded mathematicians that will likely play an important role in shaping your career!" Jan Draisma, Vice Chair SIAM Activity Group on Algebraic Geometry, SIAG/AG, Associate Editor of SIAM Journal On Applied Algebra and Geometry |
Activity Groups
SIAM Activity Groups (SIAGs) provide a more focused forum for SIAM members interested in exploring one of the areas of applied mathematics, computational science, or applications.
SIAGs organize conferences, minisymposia, newsletters, electronic communications and Web sites, and they award prizes. SIAG members receive targeted communications from peers, access to electronic membership directories and additional discounts on SIAG-sponsored conferences.
Activity group membership is open only to SIAM members and dues are $15 per year. Student members receive two activity group memberships free.
