NSF Begins Process for Next Head of DMS

The head of The Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at NSF has traditionally been a rotator -- someone who comes from academia to run the Division for a period of three or four years. NSF has begun the process of seeking the next Division head. The following note was sent to the community:

The National Science Foundation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director, Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS), Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS). NSF is inviting individuals who are interested in an appointment on a career basis, a limited term basis, or an Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) assignment basis to submit an application.

The closing deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, November 13, 2009.
