SIAM Activity Group on Discrete Mathematics Elects New Officers

The SIAM Activity Group on Discrete Mathematics (SIAG/DM) has completed its election, and announces its new officers whose terms begin January 1, 2010. Officers are elected to two-year terms.

The new class of officers are:

• Chair: Jerrold Griggs
• Vice-Chair: Karen Collins
• Program Director: Kathie Cameron
• Secretary: John Schmitt

One hundred twenty-eight (128) members of the SIAG cast a vote in the election. Comments sent in by voters have been passed along to officers of the SIAG.

The SIAG/DM runs the bienniel SIAM Conference on Discrete Mathematics to be held later this year in Austin, Texas. The SIAG/DM also co-sponsors, with ACM SIGACT, the annual Symposium on Discrete Algorithms.
