Uncertainty Quantification Organizational Meeting at SAMSI

The Statistical and Applied Mathematical Institute (SAMSI) will host a one-day Uncertainty Quantification organizational meeting on April 6, 2010. Information about the meeting may be found at

An electronic townhall meeting will be held to discuss the possible formation of a new SIAM activity group devoted to Uncertainty Quantification (UQ). A similar discussion will be held with the American Statistical Association (ASA) and whether joint activities between the groups may be possible.
During the academic year 2011-2012, SAMSI will host a unique year long program on both the methodological and practical aspects of Uncertainty Quantification. Numerous interactions between the SAMSI program and the new activity group(s) are expected.
