UK Section Announces New Officer & Conference Site

The continuing Officers of the SIAM Section in the UK and Ireland -- Nick Trefethen, President and John Hogan, Vice-President -- announced a new Secretary/Treasurer as well as the site for the next conference of the Section.
The SIAM Section in the UK and Ireland announced that on April 1, Steve Langdon of the University of Reading will begin a two-year term as Secretary and Treasurer of the Section.
The Secretary/Treasurer since April 2004 has been Gabriel Lord of Heriot-Watt University.

The Section also announced the venue for their next meeting: The SIAM UK/IE 11th Annual Meeting will take place Friday 5 January 2007 at Oxford University.
