In the News -- Applied Mathematician Dives for Gold

Margaret Cheney, applied mathematician at Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute, will diving competitively at the FINA Master's World Championships at Stanford University. Cheney is featured in a June 14 story in the Albany Time Union about her diving. Cheney is an active member of SIAM, having served on the SIAM Board of Trustees and committees. She has also served on organizing committees for several SIAM conferences and was an editor-in-chief for the SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics.
