Mentoring Honors for MTBI

February 5, 2012

Tales of careers sparked by the Arizona State University-based Mathematical and Theoretical Biology Institute abound in the SIAM community. National recognition came in December, when MTBI, represented at an Oval Office ceremony by founding director Carlos Castillo-Chavez (at center in red tie), received a 2011 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring.
