SIAM/MAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Applied Mathematics Student Conference

The Shippensburg University SIAM Student Chapter invites participation in the first annual Mid-Atlantic Applied Mathematics Student Conference (pdf flyer) to be held March 20, 2010 on the campus of Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, in partnership with the SIAM Student Chapters at University of Delaware, George Mason University, and University of Pittsburgh.
The keynote speaker will be Robert Ghrist of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, the conference will consist of twenty-five minute student talks and a panel discussion focused on careers in applied mathematics. This conference is partially sponsored by the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), and the National Science Foundation.
