Join SIAM and save!
SIAM members save up to $130 on full registration for the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering! Join your peers in supporting the premier professional society for applied mathematicians and computational scientists. SIAM members receive subscriptions to SIAM Review, SIAM Unwrapped and SIAM News and enjoy substantial discounts on SIAM books, journal subscriptions, and conference registrations.
If you are not a SIAM member and do not join SIAM before you register for the conference, you can pay the Non-Member or Non-Member Mini Speaker/Organizer rate and still apply the difference between what you paid for the conference and what a member would have paid ($130 for a Non-Member and $65 for a Non-Member Mini Speaker/Organizer) towards a SIAM membership. After you register for the conference, contact SIAM Customer Service for details about membership or join at the registration desk at the conference.
If you are a SIAM member, it only costs $15 to join the SIAM Activity Group on Computational Science and Engineering. As a SIAG/CSE member, you are eligible for an additional $15 discount on this conference. As the total price of membership plus conference registration is the same, you might want to consider joining the activity group.
Free Student Membershipsare available to all students who attend an institution that is an Academic Member of SIAM, are members of Student Chapters of SIAM, or are nominated by a Regular Member of SIAM.

Transportation
By Air
SIAM has selected Uniglobe Wings Travel to assist attendees in making travel arrangements. To book your reservations through Uniglobe Wings Travel, contact Amy Hueber at +1-215-628-3322 or toll free (US and Canada) at 866-71-WINGS. Press two (2) when you hear the recording, and ask to be transferred to Amy. Be sure to mention you are attending the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering. Uniglobe Wings Travel will issue your ticket and mail it to you. Please be aware there is a fee for this service.
You also have the choice of using your own travel agent or an Internet service. There are many web sites available to allow you to search for and purchase airline tickets online. Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity are just a few.
Ground Transportation
MARTA
Follow signs to the baggage claim, which usually involves taking the internal plane train from your concourse to the baggage claim stop. You’ll go up a tall escalator, at which point you’ll be facing the Airport MARTA station, but it won’t be visible due to restrooms that are immediately in front of it. Turn right or left to enter the North or South baggage claim area… both have doors that lead into the rail station near the last baggage claim carousel.
Inside the station you can buy or reload a Breeze Card or get a paper Breeze ticket at the station vending machine. RideStores are also staffed during business hours if you want to purchase fare via a person.
In most cases you will select “trips” to add to your fare card or ticket, which are one-way fares. If you plan to ride MARTA multiple times a day, then choose the “day” option so you can purchase a pass with unlimited rides.
Super Shuttle
Super Shuttle offers a 10% discount to SIAM meeting attendees. However, please note not all cities and airports use Super Shuttle. SIAM advises attendees to check the Super Shuttle website prior to traveling to confirm Super Shuttle is being offered in their respective city.
To make reservations and receive the discount, please visit http://www.supershuttle.com/default.aspx?GC=4MGKB. When you are checking out, enter the code 4MGKB in the “DISCOUNT CODE” box on the first page of the website.
Public Transportation from Airport
Taxis are available at the airport for transportation to the hotel. Please visit the Hilton Atlanta website, and click on “Map & Directions” to find local directions. SIAM also suggests you contact the hotel directly for any information about sharing transportation. Additional ground transportation information is available on the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport website.
By Train
Amtrak has a rail station in Atlanta. To make train reservations through Amtrak, call (800) USA-RAIL, go to http://www.amtrak.com or contact Uniglobe Wings Travel. Taxis are available at the train station for transportation to the hotel.
Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport or you can make them through Uniglobe Wings Travel or your own travel agent. Uniglobe Wings Travel can make your car rental reservations at the same time you make your flight reservations. See information above regarding how to reach Uniglobe Wings Travel.
Driving Directions
If renting a car, please obtain a map and directions from your rental car company. Another option is to visit Google Maps, or another similar web site. SIAM highly recommends you contact the hotel directly at +1-404-659-2000 or visit their web site for driving directions.

As of January 12, 2009, a valid ESTA approval is required for all Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to travel to the United States. Please visit http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/business.html for additional information and procedures regarding the visa waiver program as maintained by the US Department of State.
