Registration Information


Sessions will take place at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Badges can be picked up at the National Institute of Standards and Technology building 101. Sessions will take place in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Green Auditorium and other breakout rooms.

All foreign attendees must fill out a NIST Form 1260 [PDF, 65KB]. Foreign attendees should only fill out everything up to and including "U.S. PERMANENT RESIDENT" and do not add or change anything below the "U.S. PERMANENT RESIDENT" field. Also, no signature is required. This form must be faxed, NOT emailed, to Teresa Vicente at +1 301-926-1630 in advance of registration. Student registration is available for undergraduate and graduate students ONLY.  The student rate is not available to post-doctorates.

If you do not join SIAM before you register, SIAM allows attendees who pay the non-member rate to apply the difference between it and the member rate toward buying an individual membership.  We will continue to offer this option and expand the offer to those who pay the non-member minisymposia organizer or speaker rate. Contact the SIAM office if you are interested in this discount.

All attendees, and their spouses and guests, are welcome to attend the banquet, but there will be a fee of $75 per person to cover costs.

Dinner tickets for yourself and accompanying guests should be purchased online at as part of conference online pre-registration, which ends on May 4, 2015 extended to May 7, 2015. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable. There will be no on-site ticket sales. 

A cash bar will be available at 6:00 PM.

A dinner buffet will be available at 7:00 PM and will include:
Soup of the day
Artisan breads and rolls
Mixed green salad and seasonal sliced fruit display
Stir fry seasonal vegetables and roasted fingerling potatoes
Marinated flank steak with jack daniels sauce and parmesan crusted rockfish with brown butter sauce
Fresh berries & cream and chocolate cake
Coffee and tea service

Attendees have the option to buy daily lunch tickets to be used in the NIST Cafeteria during the lunch break.  The cafeteria is buffet style and offers a variety of hot foods, salad bar, pastas and beverages. The daily price for the lunch ticket is $15.90. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable. There will be no on-site ticket sales.

Attendees also have the option to select their food from the cafeteria service area and pay for it with cash or credit card. This is a more time-consuming option. The main advantage of the meal ticket is to avoid delays in the service area and payment line.


Conference Speakers

The Conference Organizing Committee expects every speaker in a scheduled presentation to register and attend the conference.

If it becomes necessary for a speaker to cancel a presentation, he or she must try to find an alternate presenter immediately, preferably a co-author. Contact SIAM Meeting Manager Nicole Erle ([email protected]) immediately with any change to a scheduled presentation.

A “no-show” or cancelled presentation can cause serious inconvenience to the attendees and conference organizers. The committee thanks all speakers in advance for their compliance with this request.

SIAM is not responsible for the safety and security of attendees’ computers. Do not leave laptop computers unattended.

Please remember to turn off cell phones, pagers, etc., during sessions.

All refund requests must be received in writing by email, fax or regular mail.

After May 7, 2015 No Refund

A fee of $75.00 will be charged for changes from full registration to one-day registration between April 7, 2015 and May 4, 2015 after which no registration changes will be accepted.
