General Information
Audio-visual PolicySIAM does not provide computers for any speaker. When giving an electronic presentation, speakers must provide their own computers. SIAM is not responsible for the safety and security of speakers’ computers.
Each meeting room will have one (1) screen and one (1) data projector. The data projectors support VGA connections only. Presenters requiring alternate connection must provide their own adaptor.
Internet
University wifi helps you get connected on your laptop, mobile or tablet. Eduroam wifi can also be used if your home institution provides it.

The conference will take place in Nishi Waseda campus of Waseda University. It is located in Shinjuku city. Shinjuku city is a multi-faceted town, with a bustling shopping area at the East Exit, rows of high-rise office buildings at the West Exit, a quiet residential area in Ochiai and a stone-paved street with traces of history in Kagurazaka. Poster Session
The poster session is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, 7:15 PM – 9:15 PM. Poster presenters are requested to set up their poster material on the provided 180 cm (height) x 90 cm (width) poster boards in room 63-1F on Wednesday, March 7. All materials must be posted no later than 7:15 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018, the official start time of the session. Posters will remain on display through March 10.
SIAM Books and Journals
SIAM books are available at a discounted price during the conference. Complimentary copies of journals are also available on site. If a SIAM books representative is not available, orders may be placed per the instructions on the Titles on Display form.

Letter of Invitation
If you require a letter of invitation from SIAM, please follow the instructions below. However, if you require a Letter of Invitation from the host organization, Waseda University Tokyo, Japan, please contact [email protected].
Confirmed authors in need of a Letter of Invitation to assist in the visa application process, please fill out the Letter of Invitation Request Form. Please allow three to four weeks for processing and delivery.
If you are not planning to present at the conference or are not yet an accepted author and need a letter of invitation before acceptance notifications are sent, please fill out the form AND provide the following information to [email protected]:
- Brief curriculum vita (including your date of birth and a list of publications over the past 3 years.)
- Brief statement why attending this conference would help your research and career.
- Letter of recommendation. Have a senior person (e.g. Ph.D. advisor, head of department, president of a mathematical society) write a brief letter of recommendation on appropriate letterhead. This letter is not needed if you have a minimum of twelve entries in MathSciNet. If this is the case please state so and include your “MR Author ID” in your message to [email protected].
